The Student Medical Summit, is a student-run medical conference that gives a platform for students to present and engage with research.

The Summit is a showcase of excellence in student research in the fields of health and life sciences.

The event serves to both:

  • Act as an opportunity for students to demonstrate and share the results of original research.

  • Promote interest in research among students with opportunities to hear from scientific leaders, to see the impact that research has on the world first-hand, to meet and share ideas with other students and more.

When and Where?

The summit is a day-long event that will be held on Saturday, February 6th 2021 online

Through out the day there will be a number of keynote speakers.

See here for more.

Our poster hall will highlight the various research projects completed by undergraduate students across Ireland.

If you are interested in taking part, you can submit your abstract in November 2020.

There will be various awards on the day, with the overall winner taking home the title of 'Irish Undergraduate Medical Researcher of the Year'

Our workshops give participants the chance to develop skills in a smaller group and in a more hands-on manner.

In 2021, we will be engaging attendees of the conference in interactive voting in place of workshops.
